When the need arises for something more than SKYLINE's standard Public Cloud solution offers.. your company may require more horsepower; when only one person on the team requires the software, a "whole server" may seem like too much. So SKYLINE developed the Powerstation solution, our LightningBottle™.
What is a LightningBottle™? If you're a character in a British rockumentary, a LightningBottle™ is "one louder": A LightningBottle™ gives a User many of the capabilities of a Private Cloud; it's designed to deliver dedicated software for the one or two users in a company (or team within a company) that need the application. It costs less than a server, just $53 extra per User, and it is fully compatible with Users on SKYLINE's Public Cloud.
A LightningBottle™ User is delivered via a Remote Desktop Session, uses Windows Server and comes with 60 gigabytes of storage space per user. The solution is best for those sync solutions that move small data transactions to or from your accounting (i.e., QuickBooks), such as timekeeping solutions (TSheets) or payment solutions (InstantAccept and other payment/CC processing plugins) and services that are accessed via a SaaS based solution.
When your business has grown, and more people in the company need their own specialized software, take your LightningBottles and pour them into a Private Cloud: when the software is a larger application that may have more than one “plugin”, when the software is resource hungry, or anything with a database (Webgility Unify, THUB or DBSync, ShopTech or Acctivate! , MiSYS or Fishbowl)... you get the picture).
An International company needed hosting for 3 QuickBooks Premier Users, each at a different location, with one requiring sync access to a SaaS CRM, which would sync customer and order data on a regular basis so each location could act on real time data. A LightningBottle™ allowed the CRM and QuickBooks to sync on a regular basis, keeping orders flowing and business humming. The total cost for the client was 66% of a Private Cloud. The client now has their data syncing and their users can see real time data from within their CRM.
